Tayt's Still Swimming
Donation protected
And results are in and not what we were hoping for, but here we are. Tayt's PET Scan showed masses again in the same place they found them last surgery, before his last round of chemotherapy for PTLD cancer. We are getting ready to go back in and remove the masses and send them to Pathology pretty much knowing what this means for Tayt. The previous rounds of chemotherapy are not the best option for Taty, so we are now discussing T-cell chemotherapy ( how it was explained is they take Tayt's T-Cells and they train them to fight the PTLD Cancer and the EBV virus), this is not a simple process and is still in the very new stages of being used as a way to fight PTLD in Heart Transplant Kids. Dory will be receiving chemo too (she insisted). It’s been a ROUGH day, trying to digest all the new information and see what Insurance is willing to assist with and what they won't! Tayt’s is very tired and he is very much over it all, but he has expressed he would like to fight and try to feel better. This kid has defied so many odds before, and he just keeps swimming. But as y’all probably know, CANCER is a whole different ocean. We are all just barely treading water at this point. So with heavy hearts, we ask you to swim for us until we can (hopefully) do it again someday soon. Tayt has to receive weekly treatments and with his other medical costs, the financial burdens are drowning us. Anything y’all can donate would be a blessing and will go directly into Tayt’s medical trust. Just keep swimming right? We have to. We just have to. Hang in there buddy. The WORLD is swimming with you.
