Taylor's Trip Abroad

As many of know, Taylor has been selected by Mizzou to represent the University on an education based trip to Jinotega, Nicaragua in May. This will provide Taylor a once in a lifetime opportunity to see what education is like in a different country. As an education major, she is extremely excited to experience lesson planning and teaching while being immersed in a different culture. Her group will actually deliver instruction in a "summer camp" format to children while on this trip. Her heart has always been elementary education. She proclaimed years ago that she wanted to be teacher. I knew she was serious when she would rather follow me to school on her off days instead of sleeping in or hanging with friends. I believe she was born to teach and this experience is just going to make her that much greater.  As you can imagine, this experience is not cheap, especially for a college student. The actual cost of the trip is $1,000 but she also has to pay for a passport, immunizations, supplies and miscellaneous expenses.  Any support you can give is much appreciated!
