I am in desperate need of a full intestinal and stomach transplant. This is a relatively new transplant surgery, and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami is the leading Hospital in the country that does this type of transplant. Unfortunately, I need to relocate to the Miami area to be hospitalized within hours once a donor becomes available. The hospital will be taking over my treatment before, during and after my surgery. Jackson Memorial needs me in Miami specifically before my surgery to run weekly testing to adjust any treatments I may need. My insurance will cover 80% of the costs. My post-surgery recovery can be up to 6 months and incur additional charges plus unforeseen expenses.
