I am reaching out on behalf of Taylor (Leo) Portillo who recently underwent a life-saving kidney transplant. While they are beyond grateful the surgery was successful, the journey to full recovery is just beginning.

For years Taylor bravely battled kidney disease, facing dialysis, fatigue, and uncertainty with strength and grace. Now, with a new kidney and a renewed chance at life, she’s facing a different set of challenges: mounting medical bills, travel expenses, prescription costs, and time away from work during her recovery.

Transplant recipients must take costly anti-rejection medications for the rest of their lives, attend frequent follow-up appointments, and be closely monitored in the first year post-surgery—all of which comes at a high cost.
