Hello :) Thank you for taking the time to read, and look into my fundraiser for YWAM England, God Bless you! For those who don't know me, I thought I'd explain a bit about myself and what I am raising funds for! My name is Taylor Stemen and I am 19. With graduating high school 2 years ago, I was stuck not knowing whether I should apply to a college, or jump right into a random full-time job. I knew God wasn't calling me to do either of those things, and I felt very unsettled about just doing what was "normal" or expected of freshly graduated seniors. With that, I joined a wonderful ministry at my church, YAMs (Young Adult Ministries), which led me to finding out about YWAM (Youth With A Mission). I will never forget the time I went on our YAMs Fall Retreat 2019 in Hocking Hills. My friend and I got the chance to speak with a woman, Anita, that radiated grace and humility. Full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, she prayed over me and said that God was speaking to her the words: free and travel. Just before Anita's very conversation and prayer, I had alone time with the Lord about leading me into anything He had for my life; whether that was traveling, freeing myself from ties back home, leaving my comfort zone, or ministering to others across seas. When I tell you the Holy Spirit was moving... HE WAS! He spoke right through Anita when she explained the organization and her passion for being a leader at YWAM in Tyler, Texas. It all sparked something very powerful within me. God had laid this beautiful calling on my heart to serve and minister to others. To really, truly draw near to Him, more than I ever have before. To spread His word and make Him known; to those who don't know Him, yet desperately need Him. To further His Kingdom across the nations. YWAM gives people the opportunity to partake in a DTS (Discipleship Training School). Upon my acceptance, starting in January 2020, I would be based in Cuckfield, England for 3 months for my lecture/training. The training consists of diving into/studying the Bible, identifying my gifts and purpose in missions, reaching people in the heart of London and drawing them closer to God and praying over them, creating close relationships with others and most importantly, God. Truly dedicating 3 months to knowing the heart of the Sovereign One. Once the Lecture Phase comes to a close, 3 months of Outreach Phase awaits the DTS crew. I would be placed somewhere overseas ministering to a people that don't know God, spreading His Word, or putting a smile on a child's face. The beautiful thing is, is that I am totally unsure where God is going to lead our group and how He is going to use me overseas. I don't know where we are going to be, but to name a few, YWAM England has missioned to Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Germany, and Brazil. Although I will be stretched mentally and spiritually, challenged, and most likely uncomfortable, it will be an opportunity to experience God in a completely different, new light. Being able to follow this out and minister to others will forever change my heart. I am ready to see what God has in store for me and the lives I will touch through the glory of God alone. His love is needed everywhere and even when we don't know it, He is working! If God nudges your heart to donate, any contributions would be a huge help and wonderfully appreciated.
