My best friend Taylor Albright was ran over by the vehicle of a drunk driver on April 24, 2022.
(I updated some details as Taylor requested full disclosure of the happenings).
Taylor sustained multiple injuries to her entire body when she was struck by and dragged underneath the vehicle. She has 3rd degree burns, severe road rash, 3 compound fractures in her spine, a mild closed head injury, and is suffering with severe ptsd symptoms.
Per her doctor she is unable to return to work until she can pass the various tests due to her closed head injury. This will take at least another month, if not longer. It could also take months for the spinal fractures to heal, and regain mobility in her back.
Taylor is a single mother living in Grand Rapids with her lovely young son, Sage. This fund will help Taylor with her medical bills, help paying for rent/living expenses, and maybe even purchasing a new vehicle (hers was totaled by the drunk driver). I started this fund set up with her bank because Taylor struggles with asking for help and she is having difficulty with memory among other things.

Taylor was getting her sons backpack out of her parked vehicle on a Sunday evening as a drunk driver crashed into her vehicle and proceeded to hit her. The driver hit Taylor, fracturing her spine as she was flung onto the road where she sustained a closed head injury. She awoke underneath the drivers car, as the inebriated driver continued to drive away, dragging Taylor under the vehicle for about 10 feet as she screamed for help. While under the car Taylor developed severe road rash and 3rd degree burns from the drivers engine. Luckily neighbors arrived on scene and removed the keys from the driver’s running vehicle and called emergency services. Taylor was then brought to the emergency hospital for testing.
