Taylor Hill's 25th Birthday Fundraiser - AH
This past year has been a strange and unexpected year. Looking back on my last birthday, never would I have guessed the events that transpired not shortly after turning 24. A global pandemic, lockdowns, and uncertainty in all of our futures. It was a year of unease, and hardship for many. So in the spirit and honor of those that have struggled I am doing a charity fundraiser for my 25th birthday.
My goal is to raise $25,000 during the month of March for two amazing organizations near and dear to my heart, the Alexandria House is one of them (Freedom & Fashion is the other.)
It is so important to unite and continue to spread hope, and that is why I am asking you to help in any way possible. No amount is too small, and if we all come together, I know we can make a huge difference.
The Alexandria House is based in Los Angeles and is a multicultural and anti-racist transitional residence. AH provides safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing. The House also serves the community by providing educational and enrichment opportunities for the neighborhood as well as the residents.
When the pandemic hit, it was hard enough for the amazing people running the house, and the women living there, to navigate this unexpected world altering event. Then right in the middle of it all, there was a fire that burned down their house. They were displaced during a crucial time, and yet they continue to overcome. They have faced unimaginable struggles in the past year. I am eager to do anything I can because they are truly an amazing organization full of love and strength. Bringing awareness to them and their cause means everything to me.
More than 92% of the women who have moved through the Alexandria House program have succeeded in securing financial stability and permanent housing.
It is so important to unite and continue to spread hope, and that is why I am asking you to help in any way possible.
