Taylor Family House Fire, Please Help

Hi, my name is Kenny Jones, I am the president of Lincoln Winnelson, I am writing this on behalf of all of us at Lincoln Winnelson, Dennis (Denny) Taylor has been a reliable and hard working employee of our company for 27 years. On Sunday, January 29, 2022, Denny and his wife, Willa, had a house fire, due to an electrical issue in their kitchen, it was a total loss. Due to an unforeseen technicality, insurance was not in effect for this tragedy. They were able to save some clothing items, the Red Cross supplied them with a temporary place to stay, but new information continues to add to an already tough situation, the city of Seward is requiring Denny & Willa to pay out of pocket for the clean up and removal of the remains of their home. Due to their age and situation this is an impossible request. Their home was Dennys parents home and had been in his family for decades. Denny is a hard working employee and a kind person, he is left to completely rebuild his life as he was nearing retirement. The Taylor's have little to no family in the area and no place to stay once they have used up the benefit of the Red Cross. We are trying to raise funds to help with the demolition and removal of their previous home, lost wages as they navigate this uncertain time, and ideally give them a start to obtaining a permanent residence and items for their home. I met with them today and they do not ask for any help, but the desperation is apparent in their eyes. We hope to set up a fund at their bank in the future and we will post that information here.
