Passing of: Tayler Ann Woods - Blackshear

My dearest friend Tayler passed away on June 28th at UC Davis Medical Center from complications due to a long and hard-fought battle with Type 1 Diabetes and Stage 4 Renal Disease.

Tayler's declining health was met with many financial difficulties from the overwhelming amount of hospital stays and treatment for infections that lead to an amputation of her leg. Her care team was hopeful that she'd be out on the golf course this Summer of 2023, but unfortunately Tayler sustained another infection that ultimately led to complete organ failure and the loss of a beautiful soul.

Tayler is survived by her wonderful son Makai and her loving husband Eugene that reside in Sacramento, CA.

Tayler and her beautiful mom, Louisa (who passed in 2020) were my support system for years, even after highschool.

We met on the Women's golf team at Evergreen Valley in San Jose, where they both lovingly taught me how to swing and keep a level-head in the game, which later transpired outside of the course. These two were inseperable, and after Lousia's passing, I knew Tayler would never be the same without her as she grieved the loss of her bestfriend.

My heart breaks for Tayler and her family who have been by her side through it all. Tayler was filled with so much love and empathy for everyone around her. I could tell that part of her never left as I watched her raise her son Makai with such confidence, the same kind of confidence her mother put forth. I will never forget the love I felt in the moments we shared.

I ask that you find it in your heart to donate whatever you can to help support her family in paying off the accumulation of medical bills and other financial burdens they have at this time. A little can go a long way and will be much apprectiated by everyone involved in this grieving process. I believe we all thought we had more time with her, 30 years young is too soon.
