Help Taya to compete in the Jiu-jitsu World Championships
Donation protected
Taya Jones is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu athlete training out of Gracie Barra. She trains every day and competes at least twice a month alongside full time schooling. She started off competing nationally , travelling up and down the country most weekends. Her first international competition was in Lisbon last year where she was able to compete in the Junior European Championships and took the gold for her category. After arriving back to the UK she was promoted to her new division and started her competition journey at yellow belt. After being successful in the UK she decided to take on the junior Europeans again, this time in Rome, at her new yellow belt division even though being a yellow belt for such a short time. In true Taya style she worked harder than ever to prepare and after getting to the final, only lost narrowly to Brazil taking the silver medal.
Following this success she has her heart set on taking her jiu-jitsu to the next level and be able to travel to Abu Dhabi in November for the Junior World Championships. She has alot more work to do, but anyone that knows Taya knows her work ethic is phenomenal and she will do everything she can for a podium finish.
If you are able to help in any way however small, we would be entirely grateful as would Taya. The financial cost of travel, training , uniform, competition entries is through the roof which is why any help is appreciated. Let’s make this 12 year old girls dream become a reality ❤️
