Milo needs some help.
Our sweet girl Milo is a 2.5 yr old bearded dragon who is my emotional support animal.
She recently had some behavior changes that indicated she was having a health problem. Over the course of a few weeks she became bloated and swollen in her belly. We were finally able to get her in to see the exotic vet we take the lizards to, and her doctor has informed us Milo has a large mass roughly the size of a golf ball in her abdomen.
We had to leave her with the vet to be monitored closely and wait for imaging and blood test results. Unfortunately these tests, and medication, as well as boarding her at the veterinary hospital, has racked up quite a bill already, and this may just be the beginning.
We will find out soon what the mass is and if Milo will need surgery to remove it.
Anyone who has met Milo will tell you she is the sweetest girl. She loves attention, snuggles, and baths. She is a celebrity at the local garden centers, where she loves to accompany me on hot days. She was an icon at BSU where she lived with me on-campus to be my emotional support animal. She is and has been loved by everyone she meets.
She has been a tremendous help to me during some of the hardest moments in my life. Now she needs the help and I want to be able to help her, too.
If you're able to spare anything , please donate to help our girl. If nothing else, please send this along or send us good vibes and positive energy to help us through this time.
Thank you,
Alex and Melissa
