Our beloved friend Tawny Ego, a proud Navy veteran, is facing an incredibly difficult journey. In July, she underwent emergency brain surgery in St Louis, MO to remove a tumor. During the operation, she suffered a stroke that left the right side of her body immobile.

Tawny later learned the tumor was stage 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive and fast-acting form of brain cancer, and she has since completed radiation and chemotherapy with extraordinary strength and courage. After months of treatment and rehab at the VA hospital in Martinez, CA, she is finally home again, but she now needs daily assistance and ongoing care as she continues to recover.

We’re raising funds to help cover in-home care, physical and occupational therapy, medical expenses, and living costs so Tawny can focus on healing and regaining her independence.

Tawny has always shown up for others with love and generosity, now it’s our turn to show up for her.
