Tawnee needs lungs

Hello,

My name is Tawnee Brunet. I'm 39 years old, and I have a beautiful 3 year old son.

In March I had to go to emergency because I couldn't catch my breath. When I arrived at the hospital my O2 levels were at 74 (after I caught my breath). After some testing I was told I had a rare cystic lung disease called LAM and there was no cure. This was an immediate life change for myself and my family. After they figured out my oxygen situation I was able to go home. I should mention I was in Alberta visiting when this happened.

Once home I went to a Kelowna Lung Specialist and was told I would need a double lung transplant.

I had to quit my job immediately because of my health condition. since then I have gone through vigorous testing to get me ready for the transplant. Now as you all know it's very difficult to have a single income household and try to save money and this is why I'm having to ask for help. When I'm blessed with new lungs I will have to stay in Vancouver for 3-6 months and have someone to look after me while I'm there. I'm so fortunate that my mom will be able to come and look after me while my partner stays with our son.

But being in Vancouver for 3-6 months means additional accomodations, meals, etc.

This is all very daunting and stressful.
