Tawakkulia Jamia Masjid Gaza Emergency Appeal
‘The example of the Believers in their mutual love, mercy and compassion for one another is like one body; if one limb complains then the whole body responds to it in restlessness and fever.’ [Sahih Muslim]
Tawakkulia Jamia Masjid are fundraising through Ummah Welfare Trust for the Gaza Emergency.
The dire situation in Gaza demands urgent attention. Since Saturday, October 7, attacks have claimed the lives of 11,078 Palestinians and left over 28,000 injured, a number that is sadly expected to rise rapidly. Blockades have compounded the crisis, preventing over 2 million Palestinians from accessing fuel, food, and medicines.
Survivors urgently require emergency aid for their immediate survival. Families in Gaza, already grappling with the challenges of a 16-year blockade, are further devastated by the recent attacks. Poverty rates have surged from 40% in 2005 to a distressing 56% in 2020, with over two-thirds of Gazans facing food insecurity.
Decades of instability and conflict have stripped Palestinian families of basic human rights, including access to food, water, and medical treatment. Currently, 68% of Gazans suffer from food insecurity, and half of Gaza’s children depend on humanitarian assistance. The shortage of medical supplies adds to the critical situation.
Contributing to our Gaza Fund means supporting Palestinian families in their time of crisis and assisting them in rebuilding their lives.
