Tawakkulia Jami Masjid Annexe Fundraiser

We are the dedicated community of Tawakkulia Masjid in Bradford, a historic place of worship that has served as a spiritual and communal hub since 1979. Our elders built one of the first purpose-built masjids in the North of England, creating a lasting legacy of faith, learning, and unity. Now, we are embarking on an important project to expand our masjid by constructing an annex building that will provide much-needed space and modern facilities to better serve our growing community. Our goal is to raise over £1 million to make this vision a reality.

For decades, Tawakkulia Masjid has been more than just a place of worship—it has been a pillar of our community. Our elders sacrificed immensely to establish this masjid, ensuring that future generations would have a place to pray, learn, and come together. Many of them are no longer with us, but their vision lives on. Now, it is our turn to carry their legacy forward. By expanding the masjid, we will create more space for worshippers, enhance educational programs, and provide better facilities for all—ensuring that our masjid continues to be a beacon of faith and unity for generations to come.

The funds raised will go directly toward the construction of the annex building, which will:

- Increase prayer space to accommodate our growing congregation

- Improve educational facilities for children and adults

- Enhance community services with modern amenities

- Upgrade accessibility features to ensure the masjid is welcoming to all
