Tavia Franklin

As most of you are aware, our longtime BDC friend/family member, Tavia Franklin was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. We do not know exactly what lies ahead for Tavia in the coming weeks but we know there will be surgery, recovery and treatment, all of which will impact Tavia's ability to work.

Tavia has been a huge pillar of support to all of us at the BDC and to the larger T1D community.  She is the familiar and happy face that greets families and kids each day facing what they think may be an unsurmountable medical diagnosis, she makes BDC families feel seen, heard, loved.  We are raising money to help Tavia with unforeseen medical expenses, but also with the regular expenses of life like rent, utilities, and groceries. Help us show Tavia that same sense of love and support as she faces this new diagnosis and treatment.
