On Saturday night, June 3rd 2017, a parent's worst fear became true for the Toledo's family as their youngest daughter, Tavi Lyn Toledo, was rushed to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for intractable seizure. As things were looking up, Tavi suddenly became more ill and went into cardiac arrest shortly after. Tavi’s little body was not able to handle all the stress. Her battle ended the next day. Tavi was a tough little angel; the brightest and most cheerful member of the Toledo’s family. She passed knowing that her parents and other family members were by her side the whole time.
Tavi's father, Staff Sergeant Terrence Lynrex Toledo, is a United States Army soldier who has served our country for over 18 years including almost 10 years of active duty. During his current New Mexico National Guards time at the HHC 1-200th Infantry Unit, he has also been working and continuing his career path toward his Nursing degree at the University of New Mexico.
The devastated news has led us soldiers, the United States Army National Guards, agreed to work together and started a GoFundMe account to help the Toledo’s family with memorial and funeral expenses, as well as other cost of living until the family is able to overcome the tragedy. During these hardships, we are asking for your help to provide Tavi the proper burial she deserves. Thank you for all your support.
