At around 1:45am on Friday, April 17, 2020, my family, local residents of St Peter’s, Missouri, completely lost our home to an unexpected apartment complex fire. Amazingly by the grace of God our family escaped unharmed. Our unit, as well as all of our possessions were completely destroyed. Unfortunately, we have no insurance to help recover our loss.
The complex cannot be salvaged and will need to be completely rebuild. Thankfully our family & 22 local families that was affected had no injuries. I am a local Marine recruiter under RS St Louis, my whole life and serving 8 years with the Marines I have never been devastated, especially when my wife is 3 months pregnant, including my parents visiting from back home. Everything we owned, everything we’d accomplished in our lives, was tumbling over us, pounding and crushing until there was nothing.
We are heartbroken over this tragedy and are taking each day in stride. My family and I are reaching out to the community to ask for help in any way possible. My family is facing tremendous costs, we pray and hope this fund will help alleviate some of the burden my family faces. We ask that you please keep our family in your continued prayers. We completely understand that everyone is going through hardships, if you can afford to contribute to this effort, any amount is appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for any amount donated, May God bless each and everyone of you tenfold.
With love,
The Taumotoi’s
