Tatyana Sumner is an ENL teacher at PS 204 in Brooklyn. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer that has metastasized to her bones and liver.  Last year she had to be hospitalized and was kept on oxygen while undergoing rigorous chemotherapies and surgeries. This forced her to be out of work on disability for almost a full year, as she endured many physical and emotional struggles. 
          Tatyana is the mother of two very young children. One was born just two years ago. The strain on the family is tremendous right now. They are working to make ends meet, and stay on medical coverage so that she can continue to get the care and treatments she needs. 
          She is an incredibly strong warrior and fought hard to make gains enough to return to work to try and stay covered under medical insurance, and to help support her family. However, this is a very serious situation and unfortunately Tatyana's counts are going back up. She may need to resume treatments again, and leave work. She needs our support.
