Hey everybody, I’m here helping to raise funds for my friend Thongchan, who had ALL of his Tattoo Equipment confiscated by authorities in Laos.
Thongchan has no family to help or support him. He runs his little tattoo business on the outskirts of town. (See in pics) He’s an orphan and was raised in a group home. His only income comes from tattooing, mostly foreigners during the tourist season in Laung Prabang, Laos..
He called me in tears yesterday, asking for help. I told him I would try to do a crowd sourced fundraiser for him. I know so many people follow him on Instagram and on Facebook and so many people love this talented young guy and will chip in even $5-$10 or $20! Anything will help! Let’s try to get him enough money to replace his equipment so he can begin to support himself again.
Thongchan did major tattoos on my neck and my left arm, I’ve spent hours with him. He is very sweet. We had fantastic conversations when I was with him and he even accompanied me to the Wat (Temple) to get the Protection tattoos on my neck blessed by the Monk. Although I’m thousands of miles away now, we’ve stayed in touch, I can’t wait to go back to Laos to get more of his artwork on me!
