Peaceful endings

My name is Gerard (Ger) 39 under the care of this amazing place, it's caring kind Staff. Words can't begin too express my thanks and gratitude towards Blackrock Hospice/Our ladies Harrolds Cross. Increditable Doctors, Staff and Nurses. I am blessed and truly greatful to be in this Hospice.

Finishing my final few months on earth hopefully longer comfortable, peaceful with their support, assistant, guidance, advice everything really!

I am a better person for it more aware less frightened and in less pain with more psychological awareness. In a much better place overall.

Early intervention to Pallative centre's makes a huge difference to a Patients quality of life, pain management, social needs It's not what you think a Hospice is. Family and friends need a break too!

Hospice is not a place to be scared of, it's not what we think or imagine. Entering the service you can't help but feel cared for, looked after listened too respected make feel like a person not your condition.

One of the items on my bucket list is to help raise money, do fundraising events for this peaceful little place on earth. For the Staff who bring me peace and comfort a way of giving back. For the new Patient too have a place like this to go to, services to avail of and use. Canteen to use, Rehab, Counselling, Home Care Team visits and so much more.

Please please donate now a worthy cause, you will change a life, make a different to a patient in pain, confused, unsure what to do and where to go. It's a small guesture, kind act, goes a long way. Isn't that what we all want in the end to leave or mark. So do it today, no matter how much.

So I appeal to you help me cross off another item on my bucket list.
