Tatsukan Karate Dojo vs Covid-19 Quarantine
Donation protected
Sensei Abdalla Khalid started the Tatsukan dojo 6 years ago in order to bring authentic Okinawa Karate to practitioners In the United States, Oklahoma. Sensei Khalid teaches the unique cultural martial art of Okinawan Goju-Ryu. This authentic Okinawan dojo sits in the middle of Edmond, Oklahoma, and has been threatened by the COVID-19 quarantine. The quarantine has hit many of the families of the dojo is practitioners financially hard, it has also causing them to put in definite holds on their dojo memberships. To mitigate some of the damage the dojo now offers virtual classes in the evenings at 7 PM. While virtual classes are open to all currently enrolled students, some can no longer afford their monthly membership. We are asking for small donations that will total $4000. This will help to keep the dojo running at full capacity for the next two months at which time hopefully the quarantine will be over. The money will be spent on the dojo rent which is $1800/month and dojo utilities which normally totals around $200/month. Any help in keeping this traditional Japanese martial arts dojo alive would be very much appreciated.
