Tati's Van Life: Aid for Her and Her Mom

Hello friends... For those who are close to me, you probably have followed my story since the end of the pandemic, and it has been a struggle. With both moves - LA to Nashville, Nashville to Daytona Beach, and working minimum wage, I have used all my savings to keep my head above water, and it has led to serious financial hardship. You all know that I am far from lazy and have always been a hard-working gal, but I have reached a point of barely being able to pay bills and keep a roof over my head. Aside from my current job, I continue to look for a second one, part time. God knows how much I try. With that comes my appeal to you, my friend. I have made a decision to buy a van and convert it for full-time living.

So, you may ask, "why van life?" I have many answers to that, but the two main ones are: First, it doesn't make sense (to me and my budget) to pay $1200 for rent a month for my furniture to get dusty when I only use my apt for 10 hours a day. I have used all my savings to support myself in previous years and two state moves looking for better opportunities, but have not been able to save anything since then. Second reason: my mom. As you know, we are not getting any younger, neither is she. Her 80-year-old body is taking a toll rapidly, and her being the number one priority in my life, I feel helpless at this point. I have no other family but her, as you know, and I don't believe she will be able to take care of herself within the next five years. Her mobility is degrading significantly, and I need to be able to help her financially, being a caretaker or eventually, in a home.

A "*Minimalist-Van Lifestyle*" will also give me the ability to, in case of any emergency, be able to just lock it up, park it in a safe place, and fly down to Brazil to care for my mom, without the worry of leaving my apartment and belongings behind for an extended period of time, paying the rent for an unused space.

So, here I am, humbly asking for your donation; any amount helps.

My plan is to buy a van and convert it to a living home for the next few years. The main purpose of the Fund is to support the van investment itself first so I can get this journey started. I also plan on filming the conversion for a YouTube channel, documenting this entire journey as I will be working in the van by myself, with minimum help from my friends, since they are all scattered around the globe.

Who knows, I might love the van life and never go back to "normal standards" of living and continue traveling in it. As you all know, I am a nomad at heart.

Right now, I am asking for your help to get this journey started and a roof over my head, so I can take care of my mom and myself.
