Growing up in a home filled with soccer players Tatiana hasn't ever showed much interest in the sport. It wasn't until her Aunty Chaniece took her out to play one day... needless to say it's been the topic of subject every week with this special little girl. She's been so driven she's decided that at the age of 10 years old she wanted to try out for the top club in Santa Rosa. After long debates and many different opinions, as her mother I decided to go for it and support her wishes. At try outs so shined... she blew me away every step of the way her effort and motivation showed in every way. I've never seen her so happy and challenged in her life. We got the official news today that she's been selected for a position with Santa Rosa United B team. I couldn't be prouder... but it's anticipated to be a struggle due to some financial issues that I refuse to share with Tati, it may be a long shot for her to play. Being a single Mom having my own financial goals, being apart of a competitive soccer team isn't realistic for my situation. But I made a promise to this little girl, that I'd be there to support her in any dream she has. Regardless of the stresses I know this may bring my family. I'm asking all our friends and family for the least amount of help they can give. Supporting her solely in this journey isn't what I intended but has become the outcome.
