My name is Alex Heiser. On 5/7 my brother and sister-in-law lost everything in an apartment fire. Their home in the Bronx was destroyed, one of their cats passed away in the fire, and the two remaining cats required serious medical attention at the emergency animal hospital. They are now completely displaced and facing overwhelming emotional and financial stress on top of losing their cat, their home, and belongings. Right now, they need support to help cover emergency vet care, temporary housing, clothing, essentials, and the difficult process of rebuilding their lives after this tragedy.
