The type of friend that we all wish we were - selfless, loyal and kind. The friend that would give you the shirt off her back when she had nothing left to give. A mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt.
This is her story.
In May of 2019 Tash went to the Dr with a terrible hip pain and after a few months of appointments, a misdiagnosis, and many symptoms that included a 16kg weight loss, the pain did not go away.
After further testing on December 6th 2019 she walked into her Dr's office with her husband and 19 month old son, and her world was turned upside town.
Tash was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer that had spread to her liver and lungs.
The next few weeks were a blur and after many doctor appointments she was able to start chemo on New Years Eve.
But the universe threw her another curve ball and Tash had to have an operation to install a Stoma in order to survive.
After many rounds of intensive chemo, 12 in total I believe, the cancer appeared to have shrunk.
An army of friends, family, and work colleagues threw our support and love behind our dear friend. The motto of Tash's Army was born.
Just recently, we received news that has broken our hearts. Tash's cancer has grown aggressively.
Although Tash's Army has supported her though some tough times, word has spread and with her story being documented on her blog, Tash's Fight, many people are reaching out and wanting to find a way to support Tash and her little family.
This is why this fundraising page has been created.
Tash's wish is to spend her remaining time making as many special memories as possible.
All donations big or small will go towards a holiday to make some of these memories that her husband, step daughter and son will cherish forever.
Any remaining money will go towards expenses incurred during this difficult time.
Tash's family and friends want to thank the people who have helped her in many ways along her journey.
You're now part of #Tash's Army.
