Tashonda Ward Memorial Fund

Tashonda Ward tragically left this life in a deadly car accident on the morning of  January 3rd, 2019. Her 2 year old son miraculously survived the accident with minor injuries. Tashonda’s mother and extended family are caring for the child, as well as dealing with their own grief.

Tashonda was a vibrant, life-loving 23 year old mother of her son Christian. She had recently begun a career in Early Childhood Education with the Columbus Urban League Head Start program in Columbus Ohio, as an Assistant Teacher. She loved art and thrived in providing the children in her classroom with fun, creative activities. Her gentle spirit was ever present and she will truly be missed.

With her employment still in the probationary period, Tashonda’s life insurance benefits had not yet taken effect. With an unexpected death at this young age, family is never prepared to handle the financial burdens that arise.  This GoFund me page was set up in memory of Tashonda, to help her family with burial expenses and expenses that will incur with the care of Christian.
