Tashonda Burton

Tashonda Burton has been a beloved colleague in the TN Department of Correction for over a decade. Anyone who has had the chance to meet her knows her passion for what she does: leading TDOC’s Citizens’ Correctional Academy to help the public understand the role of corrections and responding to inmate and family inquiries with care and empathy. The work she does each day helps to make Tennessee a safer place to live, and she is always willing to help. Since the end of May, Tashonda has been forced to step away from the work she loves as she battles a serious illness. To help offset some of her medical and living expenses, we’ve created this fundraiser in hopes you will lend a hand to a woman who has helped so many.
