Taryn Silke Celebration of Life
Donation protected
With a heavy heart, that I share the passing of my dear friend’s youngest daughter Taryn Silke. Taryn passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 22 on July 7th, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta.
A beloved daughter of Tanya, stepdaughter to Kevin, sister to Summer (AJ), Liam and Memphis, granddaughter of Alf and Sarah, niece of Ryan, Andrew (Amber), David (Rebecca), Jordan, Annie (Jerome), Julie (Shane), George (Dallas), cousins to Henrik, Reiker, Greta, Heiki, Mitchell, Ensley, Jasmine, Jordan, Jori, Eastyn, her soul kitty King, and friend to many, Taryn’s passing is an immeasurable loss.
Taryn was born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and attended Range Lake Elementary School and completed high school at Sir John Franklin High School. During high school, she worked at Dominos, where she was known for her charm, thoughtful and diligent nature. After high school Taryn was determined to find her own path in life, and worked at the Monkey Tree Pub as she took time to contemplate her next moves. She recently decided that she wanted to experience the big city life and moved to Calgary in the fall of 2023.
Taryn was a bright light, charming, and always kind to others. She was known to her family and friends as their rock and comfort. Her smile would light up the darkest room, her hugs were warm, and her words wise. The tragedy of her sudden passing leaves her family with the unimaginable task of holding a celebration of her life.
As a grieving mother of four, Tanya is facing an overwhelming financial burden as she works to bring her daughter Taryn back home and arrange for her Celebration of life.
This added financial strain only makes the already difficult and emotional situation even more challenging for Tanya and her family.
Many caring individuals have reached out to me asking for ways to provide support to Tanya during this difficult time. Tanya has not asked for help, and yet I know that she needs the support of her community. Support in the form of financial donations will provide relief and allow space for the family to grieve without financial stress. If you would like to donate to help with Taryn's Celebration of Life, please find the link below, and share this post with others who may wish to donate as well.
A meal train sign up will also be available soon for those who would like to support the family in this way.
