Taryn has fallen seriously ill and is currently in the ICU fighting for her life.  If you know Taryn, you know she is a tough woman and we are all rooting for her resilience. 

At this moment we still don't know exactly what is wrong, and unfortunately she  is too weak to run the tests needed to identify exactly what the problem is.  Fortunately, after 2 long days, she is showing signs of improvement and the doctors are optimistic that they can begin to determine the ailment, perform any necessary surgery and address the problem as needed.

She is a Canadian citizen in an American hospital, and while she does have some coverage for her visits here, it is due to lapse very soon.  Her parents are looking to extend the coverage, but we would like to offer some relief in the event that this is not an option.   The first day of an ICU visit is estimated to cost $10,000 and approximately $4,000 a day after that.  Not to mention any surgeries or other treatments that may be needed as well.  The doctors have expressed that her recovery will not be quick and she is expected to be hospitalized for some time.

Her family has also traveled from Canada to be with her in this time of need and are staying at a hotel near the hospital.

This GoFundMe is to cover medical costs as well as any and all incidentals that are necessary so that Taryn can get the best possible care and her family can remain by her side until she recovers.
