Tarver's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On Friday, May 26 just before 5pm, seven-year-old Tarver May was out for a fun outing with a good friend at the local bike pump track. Tarver had been there before and loves mountain biking.
Tarver had too much speed and unexpectedly got air off a jump, he went over the handlebars and landed on his helmet. He had a small seizure and stopped breathing momentarily. 911 was notified and emergency responders were on the scene within minutes. Tarver was not responsive and breathing irregularly. He was transported by ambulance to the St Joseph's emergency department in Bellingham, WA. CT imaging show no trauma or swelling to his brain, clavicle, spine, or face. He is staying in the pediatric unit and being treated for a serious concussion.
Tarver is a bright, friendly, energetic seven-year-old boy who is in the first grade at Columbia Elementary school in Mrs Pittis' class. He loves playing soccer, drawing, building with recycled materials, being outdoors (biking and cross country skiing), and playing the banjo. Tarver's big brother Gavin is 8 and loves him very much. His mother, Cynthia, works for the City of Bellingham in the Natural Resources Division. His father, Justin, is a principal at Harmony Elementary in the Mount Baker School District.
This GoFundMe page will help offset medical expenses as well as any others that will arise. Thank you for donating, supporting, and being community for the May family.
