Taro Knight's Medical Campaign
Donation protected
On April 3, 2016, Taro was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) which is Bone Marrow Cancer. Since his diagnosis, he has undergone three rounds of Chemotherapy and will have another round within the next couple of weeks. Taro has been referred to UNC Chapel Hill Hospital to undergo a Stem Cell Transplant. The transplant will require a 30 day stay in the hospital followed by an estimated 100 day stay in the Chapel Hill area. Taro will have to be within 5 minutes of the hospital during the 100 days as precautionary for any complications. During these 130 days, Taro and his family will be facing housing expenses ($50 per day at the SECU Family House) as well as food and every other daily expenses. The surgery date has not been set (at this time), however, the medical team has told the family that July will be the month. Donations can be made starting today in the amount that you are able to donate. No amount is too small! Taro, Kim and family truly appreciate all of the prayers and donations that have already been given during this battle and will forever be thankful.
