Help My Stepfather Fight Stage 4 Cancer with More Options
Hey, I'm Dylan Stewart and I’m here to ask for support for my stepfather, Taris Dial. He’s been hit with Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that’s spread to his femur or in his words "A Small Bump in the Road". He’s already on chemo and immunotherapy, but he wants to add holistic treatments to the mix—stuff insurance won’t cover. The costs are steep, and we could use a hand.
Who He Is
Taris isn’t big on asking for favors(he never does), he’s usually the one dishing them out. When he came into my life he treated me and my siblings like his own. He’s the dad who will fix anything I broke, troubleshoot any issue I may have, and always offer advice where he can. He takes care of my mom and has given her a constant shoulder to lean on, and is a coach who turns kids into winners with a few words and A LOT of grit. In the grading business, he’s a legend! Many years of hard work and never misses a day. That’s him: steady, strong, always there. Now he’s facing this, and we want to back him up.
What We’re Aiming For
He’s not quitting and we won't either. Alongside his current treatments, he’s looking at holistic options to boost his odds and feel better. Here’s what’s on the table:
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) – $150-$250 a session
Extra oxygen to fight inflammation and cancer cells.
- Scalar Energy Therapy – $75-$150 a session
Electromagnetic frequencies to help his cells recover.
- Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) – $1,500+ a month
Cannabis oil some say helps with cancer.
- Joe Tippens Protocol – $100-$300 a month
Fenbendazole and other supplements with a following among fighters.
- IV Vitamin C Therapy – $100-$250 a session
High-dose vitamin C to support his immune system.
- Mistletoe Therapy – $2,000-$4,000 a cycle
Plant-based boost for his body’s defenses.
- Ozone Therapy – $200-$500 a session
Oxygenates his blood to keep him in the fight.
A Second Look at MD Anderson
We’d also like to get him to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas for a fresh take from top experts. That’d cover:
- Travel and a place to stay
- Care for my younger siblings while my parents are gone
- Tests and consults outside insurance
Keeping Him Strong
Then there’s the food—organic, cancer-fighting stuff, juices, supplements. It adds up, but it’s fuel for his body.
Why This Matters
He’s the guy who made me who I am. Taught me how to work on cars, drive a stick shift, operate heavy machinery and most importantly just keep on going no matter what! He’s never backed down from anything, and I want him to have every tool to take this on his way.
If you can toss in a few bucks, it’d mean the world. If not, passing this along could still help. He’s given so much to so many—now we’re just trying to give him a shot to conquer this mountain.
Prayers for Taris and our entire family go a long way! Thank you for reading this.
