Taree Floods, Help local Croki Farmer Josh recover

Story

Hello, My name is Olivia wall, I Iive in Maitland, NSW and am advocating on behalf of our beloved family member Joshua Harris, who is a member of the Croki farming community we are raising money for Him and His family to rebuild and lift their home in hopes for sanctuary should they experience another 1 in 500 year flooding event. Joshua Harris is a born and raised Taree gentleman who has lived in Croki for the last 18 years, along with his wife Kylie and his 2 young daughters. Josh has experience 4 of these floods but nothing as record breaking as the 2025 floods (breaking the 1929 flood records of 6 metres!). This has resulted in the Harris family being without power for a month and sleeping inside swags during this cool weather. Every flood Josh has dedicated himself to ensure his community is okay, During the 2011 floods Josh took a kayak over to a neighbour at 3.30am to help milk cows, as well as ensure neighbours are safe, accounted for and evacuated as necessary always putting others before himself during every encounter . During the 2021 floods josh evacuated and saved many neighbours despite his own house being a drenched ruins, Josh's house was re-done after the 2021 floods thanks to the help of the local community and business donations but he still struggled to finance raising his house. Preparations were made prior to the floods reaching their backdoor but these efforts were not enough as the flood waters persisted. The Harris Farm lost Cattle and Lambs but seemed to have gained a Pig who since has been named Fergie by his daughtes. Josh and His family have dedicated alot to their community and farm animals, having lost majority of their livelihood and income any donation is a massive help and greatly appreciated.
