Tara's Fight for Health and Stability

Donation protected
It’s simple. This family has dedicated their life to serving the Lord and helping others experience the spiritual healing that they have in Christ, and now…they are in need of physical healing. Their job is ministry, their life is ministry …and that doesn’t always equal earthly reward so please donate financially as you can. Tid bits of Tara’s story below. Thank you all! Blessings.

-bit by a cat then got a bone infection in hand that left Tara with limited use of right hand and a chronic pain and condition from the bone being eaten away and all the cartilage being eaten from the infection.
- body weakened significantly by two long hospital stays, 14 antibiotics, one of which poisoned her body and caused significant damage to joints and tendons damaging her body on a cellular level mostly attacking mobility and even walking has been increasingly more difficult.
-it is a degenerative issue and at only 48 years old this is not going to age well. She found a doctor that specializes in treating this antibiotic to toxicity so please pray (treatment is set for Monday, December 2)
-a mass found in uterus. Cancer suspicious, biopsy on the 16th. Whether it’s cancer or not, it will have to be removed but any components of the surgery will kill the rest of her mobility and her joint function.

“For the first time ever I am really truly looking at my lifespan and what it will become if this does not get better. That is humbling and hard, but I have found that my first thought is of Jesus. Never ever once in my life have I questioned his plan for my life, why this would be happening or anything. I’m proud of that fact and I’ve just wanted to lean more and more into him and his word and strip away all the things that don’t matter. There are many many losses that come with a long-term illness. Friends scatter and disappear for whatever reasons, finances seem to just disappear at an alarming rate, marriage gets harder. Losing my physical health and the things that I loved and enjoyed like running, exercise, writing, etc is really devastating. A lot of those things are also what I do to keep good mental health and enjoyment in life so it has been a battle across all areas. For me there’s an extra layer since I’ve always been such a “doer” and I literally can’t do that or be that in peoples lives or in our marriage or in our ministry or in our household right now and that’s been hard. It’s been hard for a year and a half. Some people only value me in their life for what I can do for them, and those discoveries throughout this have been the worst. also on the financial end, we live very frugally and always have, so we can serve the Lord in full-time ministry, but that requires so many life hacks like making our food from scratch and bargain shopping multiple stores and so many things that allow us to live that way that I can no longer do (and haven’t been able to do for a year and a half) but we don’t have additional finances to do that or to have help cleaning the house and all the things that I can’t do anymore. This all seemed temporary in my mind and hopefully we turn a corner with the treatment but if not we have to figure out some new plans.
I don’t say all this to be negative, but to ask for some real prayer, we need some real community around us, and we’re at a juncture that requires new plans. So will you please pray for us.” -Tara
