Greetings to all my dear friends, family, Tarantino foodies, and those of you who wish to contribute to a very special cause ! My name is Peter Tarantino (FB aka Joseph Peter Tarantino IV),

 

My new concept ** "TARANTINO'S CICCHETTI BAR & RECORD LOUNGE" was scheduled for a grand opening June 1, 2020 but was canceled because of COVID-19, and unfortunately we were right in the middle of renovating the bar, dinning, and lounge ares, or (FOH=front of house). The entire project came to a complete halt mid March 2020. The entire FOH was left in complete shambles, city permits and applications also came to halt and city offices were almost completely shut down. To make things worse Fair Park and most unfortunately The Dallas Music Hall that host The Dallas Summer Musicals, and Matthew Posey's Ochre House Theater in Exposition Park, were forced to close temporarily (seamed more like eternity than temporarily) during the pandemic. These establishments were to be our bread and butter. The fate of Tarantino's was clearly uncertain, and there was no light in sight for the next 14 months. To add insult to injury we never qualified for any of the PPP loans, and raising capital was impossible.

Yet through the generosity of good friends and some family, support from Exposition and Fair Park, and most importantly the grace, understanding, and assistance from our land lord Madison Partners, Tarantino's has a chance to finally open up completely and have an official grand opening. Fair Park, The Dallas Music Hall , and the rest of Dallas are now completely open. Now we see the light and are very clear that we need to open up by mid August when the summer musical WICKED opens up.

Why help Tarantino's ???

This project will benefit, yes myself, but more importantly it will fill the massive void of food establishments in and around Exposition Park, Fair Park, and surrounding neighborhoods, to be a leader in a very important and historic neighborhood that is growing very fast, increasing job opportunities especially for employing youth through a program from the south Dallas non profit *SHEPHERD INN". Being a part of a historic community and contributing towards its preservation, growth, and employment opportunity is extremely important to us. Tarantino's also wishes to continue to support other nonprofit charities like The North Texas Food Bank, AWWDOPTABLE pet rescue, and also local artist that already contribute to this area.

Last but not least, your contribution will go towards an eclectic and one of the most unique food, beverage, and record vinyl concepts to ever open up, especially in the Great State of Texas. We plan on building our DJ booth to actually look more like an old school radio station consisting of what could be one of the largest record libraries of any bar or restaurant, records provided by both myself and my business partner and cousin Ben D'Avanza, from our vast record vinyl collection of over 45 years.

**What is Cicchetti ( Che-Ke-Ti), they are Italian style snacks or small plates, like tapas or antipasti. This is very common in and around Venice Italy. Let me also introduce to you one of our main Cicchetti, its called Focaccina.

Focaccina is my interpretation of a peasant flatbread for popular street food from the Emilia-Romano region of Italia, and a few other regions as well with different names. It is known as Tigelle, or Crescintine bread. When stuffed like a pocket bread it makes for a nice snack size sandwich.

Below is a video commercial that my dear friend Bobby Weiss made with some assistance from Isaac "Ike" Davies. How lucky I am to have film makers and incredibly talented artist that live and work in this historic Exposition Park/Fair Park neighborhood. This was done last year when we decided to try cary out, pick up and a two table patio service . Then restaurants were allowed to open up, and since our interior was still in shambles, we decided to wait until we knew Fair Park was going to open up again and we were able to refinance in order for us to open officially. So here we are and we have a short window to pull this all together. This means everything in the world to me and I really need your help and support, if you can only spare a little, it all adds up. I am starting the "Go Fund Me" at $40,000. even though I would like to ultimately hit $60,000. Time is a very important factor.
