*TW Suicide*

New year, new hair! As many of you may remember, I pledged to donate 10 inches of my hair in 2017 to create wigs for those who have been affected by cancer. With your generosity, we also raised over $ 2000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. After a couple years of growing my hair out, I’m back again to make a bigger and better contribution! This year, I’ll be chopping off an entire foot of hair and sending it off to @wigsforkidsbc. That’s right, 12 full inches are coming off in hopes of making a child’s 2021 start off just a little bit better.

Similar to last time, I pledge to donate this hair in hopes of raising funds for a charity. Right now, mental health has taken its toll on so many people around the world due to the pandemic. In Canada, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth and young adults aged 10 to 29 - a statistic that is far too high. Canada sees an average of 10 deaths by suicide every single day, with three times as many attempts, and millions more affected by mental health issues. With so many of us struggling with our mental health right now, I urge you to join me in supporting the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (@camhfoundation) and their goal of finding ways to improve the lives of those living with a mental illness.
