Tara Causgrove, our beautiful, loving, ebullient daughter and sister has been diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. She is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment to combat the cancer.
Tara recently completed an M.S. in clinical mental health counseling from Syracuse University. She was working toward her career goals as an unpaid intern and did not have health benefits. Before pursuing her master's Tara served the Syracuse community at Catholic Charities as both an americorps volunteer and then as an intensive medical counselor for refugee youth. Tara's interest in counseling others and giving back to the community underscores her vast gernerosity of spirit and her natural gift of empathy.
It will be a long road but we are hopeful that Tara because she is young and strong will recover from this tragic illness. Please help us ensure that Tara gets the best treatment possible and can afford the continuing cost of recovery.
