*Ohana means Family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Where we go one, we go all.
It makes so much sense that this quote is tattooed on Tara. Anyone who knows her, knows she opens her heart and treats you like family. Even her kids at school are “her kids.”
Tara devotes so much of her life to making people feel like family that it’s only fitting that we do the same for her during this difficult time.
As many of you know, our dear friend Tara has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer that metastasized to her lymph nodes and right humerus. It has been diagnosed as EGFR exon 19 which is a mutation of your epidermal growth factor receptors which unfortunately grew a tumor on her right lung. She has started her first of many rounds of chemo pills and she will also be starting her radiation treatments soon too. It will be a long battle and we don’t want her fighting this battle alone.
Tara is one of the most selfless people there is. To know her is to love her! Tara will drop everything for anyone and now is our time to step up and help ease this burden on her. For anyone who has dealt with cancer knows how quickly those medical bills add up on top of the frequent Drs visits as well as all the uncovered costs. The last thing we want is for her to have to worry about this while she is battling this terrible disease. Any amount is greatly appreciated and no sentiment is too small.
With much love,
Tara’s Troopers
