Help Firefighter with Long Recovery Ahead
Hello my name is John Wright, President of the Frederick County, Virginia Professional Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 4145. On Friday August 20th, one of our Union members, Firefighter Jason Hensell was on his way home after completing his shift for Frederick County Virginia Fire & Rescue when he was struck head-on by another vehicle. Jason was transported to the ER before being transferred to a Trauma Center due to the significant injuries he sustained in the accident. He has a long road to full recovery with additional surgeries likely before rehabilitation. He will be unable to work for an extended period of time and will lose income as a result. Additionally costs associated with his ongoing medical care are expected to be significant. Jason gives selflessly to others both on and off the job. 100% of all funds raised will go to pay for Jason’s medical bills, medical care, rehabilitation, additionally the funds will also be used to cover Jason’s lost income as he will be unable to work for an extended period of time. All funds will be withdrawn by myself as President of the Frederick County Professional Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 4145 and given to Jason in the form of a cashiers check.
