As a CCDO ambassador, Tap is proud to announce our second year partnering with the Cambodian Community Dream Organization. At the Tap Initiative, we hope to share and aid the vast and varying circumstances and conditions within education systems.

The Cambodian rural schools are in the middle of open fields with dirt roads, have no electricity, and do not have toilets. These conditions are not an ideal learning environment. There is no other equipment aside from a blackboard and chalk in the classrooms. Often, there are not enough desks and benches for children to sit. Education is free and universal, but each child attending these schools is required to wear a uniform and bring school supplies to be able to attend. Education is a prized possession. Many children walk 3 km (about 2 miles) in each direction on an empty stomach.
