Tao's battle with Leukemia

I am reaching out on behalf of my beautiful sister Anna, brother-in-law Dillon and their babies Milli and Tao. I know they would be too proud to… On the 3rd October this year, my family got the devastating news that our beautiful little boy Tao has Leukemia. Anyone who knows Tao knows what a happy, funny and cheeky little 3 year old he is, so it has been heartbreaking for us all to see the effects the Chemo and other treatments are already having on him.
Tao is currently undergoing 4 weeks of intensive Chemo at QLD Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and will require at least 2 years of Chemotherapy after that… along with other daily medications, multiple blood transfusions and other treatments, in the hopes that in the end he'll be a perfectly normal little boy again.
On top of all this, last month my sister suffered a stroke which obviously had its own intense battles they’ve had to face. The family has had to temporarily relocate to Brisbane for Tao's initial treatments and Anna is unable to work. Dillon will start doing the daily drive back to the coast for work and Milli’s school until they're able to bring Tao home between treatments.
So they’re forced to think about the financial stress that’s coming. People have been asking how they can help so I have set this up for anyone that would like to contribute to Tao’s treatments and medications. Everyone’s thoughts and prayers have already meant so much so please don’t feel obligated in any way. I just thought a centralised place for everyone asking would be helpful.
The support they have received from charities like The Childhood Cancer Support, The Leukemia Foundation, Redkite and the QLD Children's Hospital has been absolutely amazing. So anything not used towards Tao’s treatment will be going straight back to these charities to help other families going through their own battles.
