Tanzania Village School Computer Lab and Books

Hi, my name is Victoria Gwivaha and my parents are Michele Siebert and Victor Gwivaha,

Many of you are family and friends of my parents and know that my mom served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a small village in Tanzania, where she met my dad. We have roots in Africa and a strong connection to our fellow friends and family that reside there.

From my heart, I am writing you today to ask for your help! As we go about our daily lives, it's easy to take for granted the access we have to technology and education. But for many people in this world, these necessities are out of reach. This is especially true for the people of a small village in Tanzania, where my dad is from and my mom served in the PC.

In this village, children have no access to computers and there are very few books most of which are overused and need to be replaced. The lack of these resources limits their education and future endeavors. The human race has the power to make a real difference.

Please help fund computers for a technology lab and provide books that will open up a world of knowledge and opportunity for them. With these tools that we have at our fingertips, children can learn about the world beyond the village, explore their passions and unlock their full potential.

After speaking with the village school principal about their contributions to this project they held a meeting with their parents and fellow villagers. They are providing the following; bricks, cement, tables, chairs, bookshelves and labor to build the computer lab and all of the tables and chairs. They would like to be able to purchase 10 desktop computers and replace the worn-out books.

We need your help to make this dream a reality. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference. It can give a child the chance to learn, grow, and build a better future for themselves and their community. The hope that I have for the children of Tanzania is for them to be empowered through education just as I am.
