Hello! We are a group of midwifery students currently on our elective placement in Tanzania, where we are observing local healthcare centred who are supporting mothers and babies in under-resourced communities.

Many hospitals and clinics in Tanzania face significant shortages of essential midwifery supplies — from gloves, masks, sanitary pads, hand sanitiser, birthing gown, baby clothes and equipment. These shortages directly impact the quality of care that midwives can provide, putting both mothers and newborns at unnecessary risk and diminish their dignity.
