Hello,

My name is Heidi, I am 13 years old and have been given the chance to embark upon a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Camps International, travelling to Tanzania, where I will have the opportunity to live alongside rural communities and complete projects that will enhance and improve those communities lives. I have set up this page to help me raise the funds for this life-changing expedition in July 2025.

Camps International conservation projects have helped protect 100,000 hectares of wilderness in 7 of the worlds biodiversity hotspots and they have positively impacted on the lives of over 120,000 people. When I am in Tanzania, I will be partaking in projects such as rebuilding homes and schools, digging elephant watering holes, installing fresh water tanks at schools and in villages and even local farm animal de-worming.

This is an experience that will enable me to see more of the world, gain new skills such as Leadership, Communication, Team building, Independence, Problem solving, but most importantly, helping others.

In order to fund the trip which costs £4870, and on top of that I will need to purchase required kit, visas and immunizations. We have been encouraged to raise most of the funds ourselves, and I will be doing various things over the next 14 months to do this. Me and my family will be doing car boot sales, cake sales, raffles and I have committed to car washing with my friends on weekends and school holidays. My Dad has said he is going to raise funds by cycling the distance from the UK to Tanzania, 7000 miles on his exercise bike in the garage. I will still need as much help as I can get, so I am asking if anyone could please give as little or as much as you can.

If there are any companies who would be interested in sponsoring my T-shirt, or my Dads, for marketing whilst we are fundraising then I would be happy to hear from you. I would commit to providing regular updates on Social media and try and grow our Social media presence to give more exposure.
