My nonprofit organization, Selfless Solutions, was planning on incorporating two additional centers for needy children into our Arusha Watoto Project next year. However, because the centers relied solely on donations from travelling volunteers and tourists, they now have absolutely zero funding to sustain themselves and are RIGHT NOW unable to provide food to the needy children they serve.
Therefore, I am raising and sending money so the centers can immediately purchase food to feed the children. Without the breakfast & lunch provided by the centers, the children wouldn't otherwise receive proper nourishment, as it would be a struggle for their parents/guardians to provide them with one meal at home, at best. A potion of the money raised will be given as stipends to local staff so that they can feed and support themselves and their families. (Staff won't get unemployment benefits, and certainly won't be getting any stimulus checks from their government).
Although much more money needs raised to fund all of our centers for the remainder of the year (at least $12,000), by raising $1,800 now, I can help support these two centers for the next month or two, buying enough time for my organization to raise the additional funds needed.
I sincerely appreciate any and all of your contributions to help these children and communities in need, who without your gifts, would be left to fend for themselves.
