In Loving Memory of a Resilient Soul

To all those whose lives she touched,

We lost a beacon on October 1, 2023, at 1450 hrs.—my mother, Tanyty Reneé Ellis-Buffano, Toni, Tanya, Ma, and Grandma-Ma lost her battle with throat cancer.

Ma grappled with deep personal struggles. However, the strength of her spirit shone through in the love she gave to her children. Ma may not have had abundant love to give, but she offered what she had left in her soul with grace and tenacity.

Life's adversities often clouded Ma’s path, making every step a test of resilience. Yet, in her most trying moments, Ma found the courage to teach her children the ways of our world, shield us from ignorance, and impart fragments of love. Those moments, though fleeting, will forever be etched in our memories as a testament to Ma’s will and her heart.

Now, Ma rests. Ma’s battles have ended, and we are left with the duty to honor her memory.

This GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with the funeral expenses and to create a memorial in Ma’s honor, a tangible testament to her legacy. We wish for Ma’s story to serve as a beacon of hope and strength for others facing similar challenges.
