Tanya's Journey to Better Health and a New Home

To know Tanya is to love her. The same goes for her amazing son Jameson. They are true lights in this world, and have a strong faith in God, knowing that He is always watching over them and keeping them safe. Unfortunately Tanya has fallen into some hard times, both with her health and her ability to work, and needs our help. Tanya always focuses on the positive and staying strong, and struggles asking for help, even when she truly needs it. I know there are so many people that want to help - anything that you can give would be a true blessing to Tanya and Jameson as they get ready to move to a new home, and Tanya focus on some upcoming medical procedures.

Tanya's health complications increased dramatically when she contacted Covid-19 early on in the pandemic, before vaccines were available. Since then she has had six hospital stays, 4 of them being for over a week. She has permanent lung damage (leaving her on oxygen), cognitive issues, and additional complications from her Lupus, Sjogrens, and RA. These compiling problems have kept her from being able to work, and she is waiting to gain disability coverage. She is the primary custodian of her amazing son Jameson, and can barely cover her monthly expenses, let alone doctor visits, groceries, gas, and additional expenses that come up.

Tanya and Jameson are in the process of moving to cut down on expenses, but there are a lot of costs involved in moving. The move will be into a modest 1 bedroom apartment, where she and Jameson will share a bedroom. This new apartment will also put them in a location where Jameson can attend full-time Pre-K, to get him ready for the jump to Kindertarten next year.

Once Tanya is settled into her new apartment, she has some medical procedures she needs to have taken care of. Tanya has a torn meniscus that requires surgery, is in critical need of a heart surgery to allow her heart to work properly, and needs back and neck injections to alleviate extreme pain. To perform the surgeries she needs to get stronger, and is having a very difficult time resting right now with her upcoming move and worries about finances each day.

Even through these hardships, Tanya remains positive. She is excited to have a playground near their new apartment where Jameson can play, and a nook in their apartment that can turn into Jameson's play room. Jameson's well-being is her top priority, and while she wishes he could continue having his own bedroom, she knows that that's not feasible right now. Jameson is so blessed to have a mom that loves him so dearly, and is willing to sacrifice to ensure he is safe, healthy, and learning and growing. Tanya knows that the new apartment will be a fresh start, where she can focus on her health and strength, to get ready for these upcoming surgeries.
