Tanya & Robert Ngunjiri's Road to Recovery

To our dearest Friends and Family:

 

As many of you know, Tanya, Robert and Gregory are going through an unimaginable difficulty. A few weeks ago Tanya was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) which came as major shock to the family.

 

Tanya is currently in hospital and will remain in hospital for 2-3 more weeks to receive chemotherapy and close monitoring. After this treatment, there will be months of outpatient chemotherapy and another bone biopsy to determine if the treatment has been successful. We hold hope in our hearts that Tanya will make a full recovery.

 

That being said, this means that the future for their family is very uncertain, and Tanya could remain in hospital for some time unable to work for 6-12 months. Robert's plan for September was to begin his PhD while caring for Gregory part-time and Tanya had planned to work. Although they have not asked for help, financially an illness like this can be extremely burdensome on a young family. Please know that your prayers for a quick and full recovery is all they ask for but if you are able to consider donating to this beautiful young family the support would be greatly appreciated.
