Tanya Pendleton and Family Expenses Due to CJD
Hi, my name is Sheri Marshall and I'm writing to you about my friend and colleague Tanya Pendleton. I had the pleasure of working with Tanya at Xylem Tree Experts. I quickly came to know and love her kindness, wit, and generosity. After three weeks of medical leave, we received the unfathomable news that Tanya was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare degenerative disease that affects only two hundred people in the United States each year. CJD is the most insidious of conditions that causes rapid degeneration of the mind and body often without warning until diagnosis. There is no treatment or cure for CJD. The disease is inevitably fatal. The news is devastating to her family and our entire business family at Xylem.
Over only a few weeks, Tanya changed from the person we depended on the most to the person who needs our help. She will require extensive medical care for the remainder of her life.
At this moment, I’m asking for your help to raise money to help support her husband of 25 years, Chris, and their two sons, Trevor (23) and Nathan (20), through this difficult transition. Tanya was always the first person to donate to those in need, endlessly giving her time and money to others.
I'm hoping that you will share this and help her family. Any gift would be greatly appreciated.
